Intentions beforehand

Educrea created a set of activities in order to integrate the Austrian students into the day-to-day life getting to know the school as well as the local culture (during the intercultural week from 15the to 20th of February). The twelve students attended different classes that dealt with various aspects of the Spanish and the Austrian culture:

  • Physical education: Students got to know some steps of Sevillanas and also Tyrolean dances and by the way dressed up jaw-droppingly.
  • Music class: Embracing the opus and life of Spanish and Austrian composers.
  • Language class: One of the most interesting activities and really drawn from life - getting to know proverbs and saying of the other language.
  • English class: Discovering an English pop song that is known on both sides and discussing the lyrics.
  • Miscellaneous: Spanish students introduce a famous Spanish song and explain it's meaning and dancing steps.
  • Theatre: Educrea students presented a play about the life and opus of Mozart.
  • Arts class: Students created collages, drawings and scetches that involve Tyrol, Vienna and Salzburg. Later they decorated the school hall as well as the library. Beautiful!
  • Science class: Treating various topics like history, geography or cultural knowledge - always presented with PowerPoint!
In order to get all students involved in the Comenius project, the lessons were not only attended by the Austrian students but also by varying classes of Spanish students. So everyone was able to benefit from the international spirit!
